Of course, we both know Fin could have had nothing to do with it. I know Kira and Tod well, but neither of them are here. You are the only other person here I'm acquainted with.
For the sake of going into this case with no biases, I would even wish to clear my son's name through evidence. I know my children were not too happy with what happened between their father and myself, despite my insistence that was okay.
[ Sighs a bit, fiddling with his dress. ]
I know quite a few people, though. Nothing too deep. Crim was an old friend of Phil's who had some sort of falling out with him a very long time ago. Layne ... well. You know who Layne is, sad as it is that she's now widowed because of this atrocity.
That is very true. I simply meant that I wanted to ensure that his name was clear for the sake of uncovering the killer. There are others here who may suspect him if they were familiar with those details regarding our family. He is definitely not on the top of my list of suspicions.
He's a good boy-- a very good boy. I'm very lucky to have him in my life, and I know those who also know him feel the same.
[ Giving her a pointed look. ]
I admit I do not know very much about Martin, his cousin, or much else about his new wife. Would you happen to know anything about either of them?
Well, in that case, how well did you know Phil himself? I know that you're rather close to me and my son, and your father was close to him, but I'm afraid I lack many details of the relationships outside of my own with you.
I know they were good business partners, but nothing more. My father could not have been involved, though, he is across the country dealing with professional matters.
I wouldn't assume he was involved. However, I came across a letter addressed to you in one of Phil's more personal hiding places. He's leaving his share of the business to various charities and giving the rest of his accounts to my children. He asked you to explain why he did this to your father, as you'd be able to help him understand why he did so. So I was wondering what those reasons may have been.
I see. There's no special reason, that's simply the kind of person Phil was. He believed strongly in philanthropy... He had a warm heart. It's a quality we share, that may be why he asked me specifically.
Is your father a greedy man? If he was your father's business partner, he might have known already that Phil would do something like that.
But, I read the letter simply because I found it. I was looking for his wills, both old and new, in order to get a better idea of who may have killed him. And it was along with the will and something of mine in a somewhat secret hiding spot of his.
When it comes to the father of my children and a man who I consider myself closest to being murdered, uncovering the truth is my priority. If this has to do with his will and the people potentially connected to it, I'm a little beyond considering private matters when they may be important.
If it leads to nothing pointing to you, then I apologize, but ... Phil was more important to me than caring about something like that.
[ Handing it over. Angela's letter thanks her for being a confidante and requests that she do her best to explain to her father why Phil left his money to charity instead of to his business partner. Angela has the same soft heart as Phil, so she should be able to make Roger understand. And also would she please hurry up and marry Fin already? Stop lying to yourself, girl, you two are perfect together. ]

I'm afraid I do not. I met them all for the first time today.

Really, all of them?
